Join me at the second Camo at the Capitol rally on April 18 to let your elected Michigan legislators know that conserving our natural resources and protecting the rights to hunt, fish, trap and bear arms matter to you!
Show up between 8:00am and 8:30am in room 405 the morning of Thursday, April 18 to participate. Everyone will be given a hunter orange hat to wear during a rally on the Capitol steps from 9:30am to 10:30am. You are encouraged to wear camo if you have it too.
MUCC is hosting a brunch with legislators, staff and other partners at 10:30am followed by the opportunity to meet with your legislators in the afternoon.
Email your RSVP to dyoungedyke@mucc.org with your district numbers so that MUCC can set up a meeting with your legislators, or you can RSVP online with your name and email address at http://www.mucc.org/sign-up/camo-at-the-capitol/.
Help us show the Michigan Legislature that we want to protect the rights to hunt, fish, trap and bear arms and conserve our natural resources. Too often, what is important to us isn’t apparent to our elected officials. I have been to a number of meetings recently where elected officials have said they aren’t hearing from us. They don’t know what we want or if we care. Sign up for Camo at the Capitol and show them the outdoors matters to Michigan citizens!
Have any questions about this event or wish to discuss it, visit the conservation forum announcement thread. I will be talking to Representatives and Senators about how bass tournaments boost our natural resource economy, that we want increased fishing opportunity and scientific fishing management. The just released Senate Bills 288 and 289 will probably be discussed along those lines.
