FLIPPIN, AR — Ranger® Boats has unveiled new enhancements to their RangerTrail® Comanche and Fisherman Series boat trailers designed to improve durability and safety.

“We are one of the few bass boat companies that manufactures and custom-fits our own boat trailers,” Ranger Boats President Randy Hopper said. “Our customers know they will get the same premium quality in their trailer that we have put in Ranger boats for over 35 years. We have assured that premium grade by adding some significant enhancements to our RangerTrail Comanche and Fisherman Series trailer line.”

To improve overall durability, each frame of the RangerTrail® Comanche and Fisherman Series trailers will be coated with Ranger’s exclusive abrasion and impact resistant Road Armor®. This rapid-curing coating is made of a Polyeuro® compound that provides thermal stability and superior protection from chips and scratches.

“Not only do scratches and chips look bad from an appearance standpoint, but they can directly lead to rust problems,” Hopper said. “Road Armor is applied at a high temperature and adheres extremely well to the surfaces of the trailer and will provide protection that is virtually indestructible when subjected to the normal road hazards.”

The new L.E.D. lights on the select RangerTrail trailers provide considerably brighter illumination than standard lighting systems. This improves visibility of the trailer lights during daytime and nighttime hours. Epoxy completely seals the diodes on the lights from moisture and corrosion. Lens welding provides a watertight bond between the lens and housing, greatly extending bulb life. The L.E.D. lights also have greater impact resistance and longer life than standard lighting systems.

The Comanche and Fisherman Series RangerTrail trailers have also been engineered with torsion axles that allow independent suspension action. They are designed to provide a superior ride and damping performance, greater resistance to road elements without the rust and corrosion normally seen between the leaves on conventional leaf-spring suspensions.

Other standard features on RangerTrail trailers include:

  • swing-away tongue for easier storage and additional security
  • C.O.O.L. hub lubrication system continuously bathes the wheel bearings in oil
  • custom-fitted, treated bunks are matched to individual boats for optimum support
  • matching fiberglass fenders
  • steel conduit wire protection
  • self-adjusting disc brakes
  • Goodyear radial tires
  • three-year warranty
