Save Phace announced yesterday that it will be an official sponsor of the American Bass Anglers tournament trail in 2007. The trail is the perfect fit for the company that invented the Fish Hedz Sport Utility Mask ( S.U.M. ).
Here is what Jerry Wright, president and inventor of the masks, had to say about the partnership:
"After sponsoring over 50 trails in their last 2 years, I've learned that there are a lot of "Fish Stories" about most of the tournament trails"
"What I as looking for in a Sponsorship was a trail that covers the entire US, has a strong following, has good decent numbers for the tournaments, but most importantly, AND Dave and Deb Gregory nailed it when they said, "if the events don't always draw "big" but eventually word will spread. Taking these guys on would be like laying a big Save Phace blanket across the country. Eventually you'd be taking on an national organization anyway so why not the ABA? And several of you noted that the ABA is VERY, VERY good about promoting their sponsors and make it their main priority to have their members support the Sponsors."
"THE ABA is not the FLW or BASS, but with one swoop, I can hit over 1,000 Tournaments a year in 42 States, have over 40,000 Tournament Anglers here my name and see my product and touch over 400,000 Members with one Magazine, for a fraction of the cost of the FLW or BASS. Which by the way, FLW and BASS are $50,000 for their entry Sponsorships."
"We are getting the FRONT cover of the ABA Mag, 2 PRoduct Articles, 2 FULL PAGE 4 COlor Ads, Banners at every tournament, and a WHOLE BUNCH more GOOD stuff for less than half of the FLW or BASS fees."
So there you have it. Its a done deal. What does this mean to ABA members??? Im not quite sure yet. But if i had to guess, i would say deep discounts for members along with plenty of giveaways as well. Thats how Save Phace rolls. More details to come as i get them.
