Title: Fletchers Pond
Post by: Hooksetter on July 19, 2006, 10:15:25 PM
Can you rent a boat/motor on Fletchers? I have 2 club tournaments up around West Branch on Aug. 19th and 20th. Me and my partner will be going up on Thursday night and would like to fish Fletchers on Friday since our tournament waters are off-limits.

I haven't been to Fletchers in 20 years but remember that you don't want to take a fiberglass boat there, unless it has changed alot.

Also, any help on how Fletchers fishes would be appreciated.

Thanks Willie

I'm pretty sure Jacks landing rents boats.  The other lodging facility on the lake, cant think of the name(paradise lodge?) may also rent em'.

Ya Fletchers is not the place to be running around on.  I have seen some guys there with espensive rigs, but they were never  on plane.  a million stumps or maybe more.  a lower unit and skeg eating lake for sure.  always gotta be on the look out.

lots of bass and some bigguns to boot.  most normal summer patterns will produce fish.

I spoke with the guy from Paradise earlier this year.  He rents 14' boats, and pontoon boats.

I believe Jack's advertisement on the web says that they do also.

If you Google search Fletcher's Ponds, you'll pick up on the different resorts on the lake.

Thanks for the help. I will see what I can find at Jack's Landing or Paradise Lodge.

You can take your boat if you want, just don't bother with the big motor too much!  A nice big casting deck may make your day much more enjoyable.  Find the river channel and you should find some decent fish.  Fletcher's is an awesome lake.  Nice and quiet.

Where are you fishing in the W. Branch area?  (kinda my home turf)

I will be fishing Sage Lake on that Saturday and Secord on Sunday. We are hoping to pre-fish both lakes the weekend of the 12th. Neither one of us has been on Secord before, but we have maps. I heard that there is usually a good dock bite there? Is that true?
