For those of you that havent seen it yet. The NBAA website has posted there 2006 schedules. Well they posted the divisions and lakes they are going to fish but I only seen one of them that has dates yet. They said the dates are soon to come. They have added some new divisions with alot of good lakes. Looks like this year will be one of the best years to fish with them ever. They have a new Saginaw Bay division which should be a blast. It will be held on Saturdays throughout the summer.
I saw that saginaw bay division, can't wait. That's a fun lake for team tournaments, hopefully they move around the bay with their launches and not just bay city. Anyone know the director, it says it's Mark Joyner? Probobly get the dates by the novi show next week.

Mark Joyner??? If it is the Mark Joyner I used to know, he was a long time federation member and competitor years ago and active in the Saginaw area clubs and events. Real nice guy. Decent and smart. He should do well.
I'd tell you his nickname, but I heard he had changed quite a bit since the last time I saw him quite a few years ago (...and I think he could take me ;))
I live on the west side state by Ludington, do you guys know of any nbaa tournaments over here or could you tell me the site where I could look. We fished in a club from Jackson for the last 3 years and it has just proven to be took expensive, we love the club and have some wonderful friends there but for the time being we need to fish closer to home. We are going to fish the teardrop club this year but would like to pick up some more tournaments. Any info would be appriciated. :)
Spinbug,
The site is www.nbaa-bass.com (http://www.nbaa-bass.com) they just have the divisions and lakes fished right now, I'm assuming dates will follow once permits are in hand.

(-I just turned the web address into a hyperlink - Dan)
Thanks Matt. Boy there really aren't many close to here. We were hoping to pick up an evening tournament during the week or on a Saturday. Maybe we should look into starting one, we have a club here that fishes on Thursday nights now maybe we could do something with that. I'll be doing some reserch on this. Thanks again for the info.
Wendy :)
I sent an email in and already got a response back wow I'm impressed. He is going to send me a directors packet.
Thanks again for the info.

ABA (http://www.americanbassanglers.com) has a couple tournaments up near your area too. They are a draw format, not team. They also have a membership.

I've fished Tear Drop back in the past and had fun.
I know a young man that is going to Michigan State and fished that ABA last year, he was using it for qualifing for something for school. They were fishing their classic on hamlin one day when we took our sponsers out fishing for the day. Not a very big classic I think there was only 8 boats.
Thanks for the info Dan, we are looking for an evening tournament and we already have a bunch of people ok mostly guys that fish together pretty much just for fun and bragging rights, we are thinking that we can turn that into something with nbaa. I'm just waiting for my directors pkg in the mail and see if we can't get it going. The gentleman that is sending me the packet even offered us passes for the fishing show this weekend, unfortunately we can't make it, I thought that was really nice of him to offer though.
My husband fished the teardrop club for years until he met me. I was pretty green and we fished it a little bit. Then we found this club downstate, it was everything we were looking for in a club, we are really going to miss it, alot of the members have turned into great friends almost an extended family.
So because of the expensive price of gas and all the traveling we had to do we decided to go back to teardrop, just closer to home and we know the lakes alot better. We have also missed fishing that club too so I'm hoping it's a win win for us.
We are going to stay memebers in the club downstate and maybe fish a couple tournaments that don't fall on the same weekends.
Sorry for going on and on sometimes when I get started I just can't stop myself.
Have a great day!! :)
Dougs district was in its first year last season. it should be bigger in 06. he is a great guy and a great director.
