Title: KENT LAKE EVENT
Post by: McCarter on September 26, 2006, 10:37:58 AM
The squeaky wheel gets the grease, and the whining PoorBoy gets  his way.

We are going to have a 'pre-2007' ABA event on OCTOBER 29 on Kent Lake.  We are working on making it a membership free tournament so guys can test the ABA waters.

This event will count towards 2007.  Anyone who is interested in fishing the ABA and taking advantage of the new regional format can come out and fish without paying a membership fee.

We will probably launch at the west launch and fish from safe light to whatever 8 hours is.  Proabably 7:30 - 3:30.

More details to come.

Anyone of yous guys interested?

OK, how does October 22 sound?

We didnt realize that weekend was the KP Memorial.  Definatly dont want to conflict with that one.  Thats always a good turnout.  Maybe i can fish it this year if KDizzle is up for it.  I will have to check with my wife, of course.  Pregnant woman can be a tricky species as i am learning.

So there it is, Kent Lake ABA Sunday October 22.  Now who is interested?  Any takers?

West boat launch.  Registration 6:45 - 7:15 am followed by meeting aka Hello, I am your tournament director Anthony Adams.  On behalf of our sponsors Triton Boats, Mercury Marine, Airrus Rods, Hooah Energy bars, yada yada yada, i would like to thank you for coming out, etc, etc, etc........

Blast off 7:30 am

Weigh in 3:30 pm

Hooters 4:15 pm

Any questions, feel free to contact me @ 248-379-4724 or by email at bassass2@yahoo.com.........or pm me.

Entry fee and payout to be determined.  We may be moving to a higher payout percentage for 2007, but entry fees will also be increased.  Dont know if that is going to happen yet or not.  But if it does, it will be somewheres along the lines of $70 entry fee with a 90% payback.

Optional $5 Big Bass Pot.

sounds like someone needs a hug.

Why dont you just cruise down with me and Kev and help us pre fish.  Then once the tournament starts, you can do all the cleaning while we are out fishing :o  And if you do a good job of cleaning the room while we are out, maybe we will let you respool all our reels and organize all of our tackle.

Ok, here is a bump to the thread.

Plus, i have more info.

the tournament fee will be $55 and $5 for optional big bass.

No late fee cuz it wasnt on the schedule.

all the times are the same.

Here are the people i know are coming.

Me (boater)

Kev (boater)

Grant (boater)

Nowyarkus (boater)

Ryan Said (boater)

Jeff Cox (non-boater)

Anthony Adams (who knows, he is the only guy in Michigan with more boat problems than me)

Skip Johnson ( boater)

Willie Esmont ( boater)

Hopefully there are some guys coming out that i dont know about.  Payouts will be better and if we get 20 total people, it will be full points.

Poorboy,

Unfortunately I will not be able to fish on the 22 at Kent Lake. Good luck to all who will be there.

ABSOLUTLY. and if you have any friends that want to come as no boaters bring them with you. From PoorBoys reporting it sounds like we will be boat heavy.

If we are too heavy on boats i will go as a non boater.  I was plannin on just using my trolling motor to get around but the way it sounds, there are a couple other people who have the same or similar game plan as me.

I hope i can get a decent draw who will let me have my 4 hours in the morning.  I am on an ok bite, but its an early bite.

My prediction for winning weight is 18-19 lbs.  Its anybodys ball game, too.
