Title: Kalamazoo divisions
Post by: rudycard72 on January 09, 2007, 04:43:20 PM
I have been checking the NBAA web site and looks like there are no Kalamazoo area divisions this year. Does anybody know any thing about this.

Don't sweat it yet.  They do not have all the divisions up yet.  There will be lots more yet to follow.

It was my understanding that all NBAA divisions were ousted by CATT. The last Kazoo director went to CATT last year. Not trying to start a war, but just as we see it in the Kazoo area.

I am not sure about the Kzoo area but I just know all the divisions are not up yet and maybe someone else will take over the division.

I will talk with Jack at NBAA and put this viscious rumor to bed.

Not a visicous rumor at all so don't blame anybody but me. Point is that there are not that many NBAA divisions and for that matter not that many CATT divisions.

Both circuits due to less angler particpation have taken there divisions and combined them. They needed to do that because anglers are not going to travel 25 miles to lake and fish with 6 boats. Both NBAA and CATT realize that and to their credit have combined divisions or dissolved divisions.

This is what happens when two circuits compete for a finite angler base. It's all about the business model. There ARE NOT rumors when the fact is NBAA divisions have decreased in Kalamazoo area. I don't why but I do know that some NBAA directors are now directors for CATT.

Big Deal right ? I agree....Directors come and go. For that matter circuits, come and go.

Anglers just want to see schedules and any fish any tournament that fits their schedule and financial budget.

The PROOF is in the schedules, put the divisions in place and fish good lakes then the anglers will come. Donuts help too  ;D

CKev,
My fault completely - my attempt at humor apparently did not come through in my post.  A bashing is exactly what I do NOT want here.

I've lived through way TOO many catt vs nbaa battles and wasn't trying to state that there was a new one brewing here by any means.

My apology for a misleading statement and bad attempt at humor.

I will be talking with Jim and Jack about the nbaa divisions -when I know something, I'll post it here.

Genie,

No Problem ;) I'm annoyed also with the dumb battles between NBAA and CATT. They both have their issues and all we want as anglers is a chance to fish within our respectives schedules and finances.

What's really funny ? If both circuits worked things out and combined as one group - They would own all of Michigan.

But EGOS are involved and we know how that goes  ;D

Thanks Ckev
