I need advice what could be the problem with the water PSI gage.
Went to the lake and noticed it was reading very high. When I shut the motor off it stops at 35 psi. When I get up on plane it goes as high as the gage will go.
Took off the line at home and there was some gunk in the line, but the gage still stays at 35psi. The motor looked like it was peeing ok.
I'm not sure if the gage needs to be reset back to zero some how, or if it can. Is the gage broken?
Any thoughts, let me know. Thanks.
Yup time for a new gage ;D
I have had the same problem the last 2 years I think It is from water still left in it over the winter, the brass sping in it get out of wack.
I've never heard that you can 'fix' that. It might be possible, but I have just had new gauges installed in the past when it happens.
