Post by: bosshawg on December 15, 2007, 10:39:12 AM
checking NBAA website this morning and seeing divisions starting to post schedules for 2008.. doing div.57 again and hope to make all 1 on 1 oakland county. did the first this past season, but couldn't fit the other 2 in due to club functions as i'm still waiting for our club schedule.

The one on one's were a lot of fun last year and am looking forward to them again this year.  I did notice that the Orion One on One is on the same date as the Motor City Inland on Orion (6/7/08).  Hopefully they will be able to work out the schedules to avoid conflicts.

I called the Tournament Director for the Oakland One on One Division Ron Aiello.  I left a message asking if the One on One and the Motor City Inland Challenge are going to go at the sametime as indicated by the schedule.  Hopefully, they will make a correction for that.

plenty of time for changes i suppose or the the 2 divs. work something out. didn't check what each averages out per boat, but i'm sure orion has handled a large crowd. but hoping it gets change.  i can just see the cluster at the launch between the two.

Ron has updated the Oakland County one on one schedule to avoid the Orion conflict with the Motor City Inland.

Ron changed the One on One in Oakland County on Orion to June 14, 2007.  I was hoping the Challenge event would change dates.  Oh well..........

Last year the Championship was on Gun Lake (west side).  I am hoping it comes to the east side this year.  If so, where would you like to see it held (excluding LSC)?

That's a good question. Last years championship only had 55 boats show up. I would imagine if it were centrally located the turnout would have been higher. I fished the trail because it allowed me to fish inland lakes rather than St. Clair and Erie, which I don't have any experience on (I'm hoping to correct that next season). There are not many inland lands that can handle upwards of 100 boats except for Houghton, Burt Mullet, maybe Wixom. I would prefer Wixom if I had the choice. I have to say I did enjoy Gun Lake, at least for practice. The fog can get pretty thick!!

thanks for the dates.  Kent would not be a bad lake.  the OCBM has a spring event that gets 60 boats.  Cass would be my choice.
