Im heading down, only about a 7 hour drive from here. Doesnt really matter how good or bad the fishing is, there still going to be a chance to win three Skeeter boats.
Besides your going to be up in the top ten no matter where the classic is just like you always are. I hear spinnerbaits rule down there.

I'm planning to be there. It should be interesting. I hear that the area around Carrollton, KY is supposed to be one of the better stretches of the Ohio River. I guess we will find out.

Anybody been through locks before.  This will be my first time locking through.  Just wondering what to expect?  (Heard you need 50ft of rope?)

Hey thats a really good question. I have not been able to find anything on locking(if thats a word). maybe one of these experienced captains can give us a short class on that.
Just an idea.

Here is a pamplet that you can print out (have it laminated and keep in your boat), that has more detailed "Locking through" instructions:

I suppose it wont be to hard to just follow the 100s of boats that will go through the locks.  Anybody heard anything about how safe or dangerous it is to run wide open on the Ohio??
