Title: FAST GAMBLER 2100
Post by: Eric on January 27, 2008, 07:27:32 PM
Sadly, Scott Dye was killed yesterday in a snowmobile accident.  Scott is from Ionia, was a friend to many, very involved in NBAA, past National Champion, BFL competitor, and all around fun guy to be around.  I don't have funeral arrangement details yet, but I (or Don I'm sure) will post them when they are known.

Please share your thoughts and prayers with Scott's family.

Thoughts and prayers to Scott's family.  Scott was one of the "big sticks" that would still talk to anyone.  I never noticed an ego with Scotty, He will be greatly missed.  RIP brother.   If anyone has arrangement info, please post.

Scott was one ofthe guys that came over with Genie and LGMouth last year at one of my worm pouring seminars.
He was a nice guy and, like all of us, had the passion for fishing.

I'm glad I had a chance to meet him.

My thoughts and prayers are out for his family.

I'm so sad to hear this. Scott was a nice person every time I met him and a valuable member of GreatLakesBass.com.

Prayers and condolences for his family and friends. I know he will be missed by many.

It is a very sad day when we lose one of our own.  I never met him but I read some of his blogs and enjoyed them.  I know he will be truly missed by our community here on this site as well at all the NBAA Events he was involved in.  I know for quite a few of us it will never be the same without him.

The UAWBigDog family sends condolences out to his family and I know he is fishing that great bass lake in the sky.

Most of you know that I always sign my blogs with a grin, but not today on this one.  God Bless FAST GAMBLER 2100.   :'(

For those of you that didn't know Scott was one of my very best friends and fishing partner. It has been real hard these past few days and I want to thank every one of you for your thoughts and prayers. Its been an incredibly hard time and knowing everyone cares enough to say so helps out more than you know. Scott was a great friend and partner and he will be forever missed.

We all need to support and care for each other at times like these.

Scott was a great guy. He was the kind of guy that you show up for a tournament an hour early just to talk to him, he always had me laughing. Gonna miss you. I think Hardy Blast Off should have a moment of silence in his memory. We all know that was one of his favorite tournaments.  My thoughts are with his family and friends.

As I said, it is always sad to loose one of our own.  I think a moment of silence at all the first NBAA tournaments of the year would be in order.  Maybe they read this and send word to all the Divisional Directors.  Do it at the morning blast-off meeting.
