Title: Yamaha and LakeDrive Marine - Warranty Covered
Post by: rsaid19fish on July 06, 2009, 06:32:34 PM
Hey guys,

A lot of you responded to my inquiries about engine mounts last week.  Just wanted to let you know that after a brief investigation, Yamaha has agreed to pay for the repairs under warranty.  They sent out a regional service rep to take a look at it and even found a few other things that they are going to cover as well.  Definite kuddos to Yamaha.  It was a little frustrating at first but times are tough for everyone and I understand they needed a little more detail before paying out.  Its just business.  Bottom line is they are taking care of me.

LakeDrive was very intrustmental in making it happen as well.  LakeDrive is in Coldwater Michigan and is a Skeeter/Yamaha dealer.  Its a little bit of a drive for us east siders but they do good work and turn it around very quickly.

If anyone from the west side reads this and has a chance to thank Jeff at LakeDrive, make sure you do for me (of course I have already thanked them as well).  When a dealership takes care of a customer, we need to make sure we recognize them for that.  It will help us all in the long run.

Yamaha is a 1st class company for sure. Cudos to Lake Drive Marine. My next Skeeter will come from Lake Drive.

Glad to hear you're being taken care of and will be back out on the water soon.

I bought our Champion from Jeff and he was very helpful, informative, and accommodating in the entire process.  He opened up the door during Thanksgiving for us to look and answer questions, and later when we went to p/u the boat, he went out for a test ride to make sure we had any and all questions answered. We will continue to drive cross-state for their services.

Scott

p.s. this is not to say there are not good places in the Metro area...
