Title: Took the boat out today..............
Post by: Skulley on April 01, 2006, 08:06:59 PM
.................for the first time this year to Long Lake in Oakland County.  I ran it up and down the lake and boy did that feel good.  I only actually fished for about and an hour and 15 minutes of the actual 2 hours I was out there.  I played with my new Hummingbird 565.  Nice unit.  Lots of detail.  Still figuring it out though.  My new trolling motor worked flawlessly.  The boat ran great.   :D

Oh yeah.......the fishing part.  I only caught one largemouth that went about 4lbs.  That felt good too.  Water temp was 48 degrees.  Caught the fish on a Storm Wiggle Wart in a chrome crawfish with a green back.  I was fishing the bait real slow and paused it.  When I started reeling again.........there she was.   Great fun.  Can't wait until tomorrow (Sunday 4-2-06).  Planning on hitting the Hot Pond in Monroe again weather and wind permitting.  If not there, back to Long or maybe to Ford for some smallies.
