.................for the first time this year to Long Lake in Oakland County. I ran it up and down the lake and boy did that feel good. I only actually fished for about and an hour and 15 minutes of the actual 2 hours I was out there. I played with my new Hummingbird 565. Nice unit. Lots of detail. Still figuring it out though. My new trolling motor worked flawlessly. The boat ran great. :D
Oh yeah.......the fishing part. I only caught one largemouth that went about 4lbs. That felt good too. Water temp was 48 degrees. Caught the fish on a Storm Wiggle Wart in a chrome crawfish with a green back. I was fishing the bait real slow and paused it. When I started reeling again.........there she was. Great fun. Can't wait until tomorrow (Sunday 4-2-06). Planning on hitting the Hot Pond in Monroe again weather and wind permitting. If not there, back to Long or maybe to Ford for some smallies.
