I had the pleasure of spending a day in the boat with Matt Herren in Decatur, AL on Lake Wheeler last April. The day turned pretty ugly on the way in. Some good waves on the river. When the wind pushes the waves against the current down there, you're in for a rough ride. Matt broke his trolling motor mount on our 35 minute run from the dam to the weigh-in site. He culled a pretty good bag off the docks down there. We also fished a creek with Stephen Browning.
It will be interesting talking to Matt about his excellent performance in the Classic.
Looks like I can make it there for a while on Sat. Who else is coming? Would love to meet some more guys from the forum.
Going down to poorboys in Ind. first thing in the morning and then stopping at D&R on our way back. Should be there around noon for the Humminbird class.
I'll be there with Capt Charlie, SethV and BShaner (if he gets out of bed).
Would it be inappropriate to bring a few tournament flyers to an event where NBAA and BBT have reps. at? I'd like to go and would really be worth the trip if it was kosher to bring a few flyers even though we don't have official reps. quite yet - still have to win a few more tourneys to be able to afford reps.
And I'd like to grab some custom colored Darters from DW that are hot off the molds - LGMOUTH grab me a couple of those baits with that thing in that color you throw on that one lake........................

I 2nd that (I think).
I'll be @ the HB portion too, since I got a new 997si this winter - see ya there Lgmouth.
Cheetam-met you at Novi so I remember what ya look like but don't really know the other guys you mentioned - hopefully we can meet there.
ROI- My 2-cents is to not go down and do that w/o D&R's approval. Being on the wrong foot with them and the scheduled 'vendors' would not be a smart business decision. Not saying you couldn't just network and offer to email info (or whatever) to someone who shows interest, but I wouldn't show up all decked out as if you were a scheduled vendor, if ya know what I'm sayin.
I don't think they mind at all if you distribute some flyers. In fact, I use to drop some off, and they would let me put them in their "mailbox" of flyers by their doors. As long as you're not setting up a table and taking the place over.
Hey Bryan,
It was also nice to finally get to meet you down at D&R. You and Mike did a great job. Those Humminbirds are an awesome unit. That side imaging is a must. I just put some pictures from D&R on my http://teardropbass.com/ website under the "Daily Blog" section. I'll be waiting for a "Lance Valentine" type of all day hands on workshop for the Birds. Thanks again.
Thanks Dan. I think we're going to try to do it again next year only in multiple sessions with smaller groups. Mike counted over 100 people and it's hard to get too in-depth with that size of a crowd. Thank you to all who showed up!
