I could use a helper for ~30 minutes after the show ends Sunday for tearing down, and packing the booth and materials into my car. That would be awesome if you can help!?! All volunteers will be added for a year to the special GLBass Friends group if not already in there. And you will have my eternal thanks and appreciation!

BOOTH VOLUNTEERS SUMMARY
You will get more details in the private volunteers area of the forum. You will be able to see it once I add you to the temporary show group. I will state a few things now. I need people who can talk to others in an outgoing, friendly fashion about joining the websites - mostly GreatLakesBass.com and GreatLakesIceFishing.com, handing out stuff and just answering general questions about fishing. NO ALCOHOL in the booth. No sales or giveaways of items not pre-approved by me before the show.

This is only a 10x10 booth so there's not a lot of room for extra friends and family to come and hang out in the booth. Please NO extra people behind the table or blocking the table front who are not on the volunteer list. The schedule can be adjusted some to accommodate people willing to help who can't fit one of the existing time slots. THANK YOU!!!!

Bass Fishing Tips, Techniques & General Discussion / 2024 SWAPMEET
Last post by bob o - January 15, 2024, 12:56:11 PM
The 2024 fishing swap meet and silent auction.

Date of event: March 9th, Saturday 11:00 till whenever

This year we have V.T.A.C. for our silent auction beneficiary. https://supportvtac.org/, 100% of the silent auction monies will be earmarked for the Veterans Treatment Assistance Corps. If you have questions (and I know you do) any tackle you haven't used or new bring it for the table, if its condition too bad to donate we will also have a free box for your duds or well used items. Tackle makers are welcome to donate too, even sponsored semi pro or pro fisherman are also welcome to donate. Contact me and I'll put your logo etc. on the wall poster a whopping 40 people might see it, maybe not. If there is nothing on the silent auction table you wish to bid on but still want to donate there will be a donation box (unbreakable) to place your donation. Fishing clubs and Teams are also invited.

The swap meet will be the same with no changes, the front door will open at 11:00am and close when the last person leaves. I will have tables set up for anyone to set up their tackle for trade or sell. Food this year will start with ground beef chili, please feel free to bring one or more of your favorite dishes to pass. Drink, feel free to bring your own beverage hard or soft.

Quote from: djkimmel on December 29, 2023, 02:32:15 PMYes, I was never as big as BBC, but it had been pretty regular around here before social media. I can probably get them to check in a little more often by posting more regularly.

Glad you're around. Everyone counts. I know others are stopping in and I remind them they can always post something. Everyone has something to say, and others are interested.

Once some regulars start posting again, things will pick up.  There are always Lurkers sitting back that just enjoy reading.  Nothing wrong with that but need people posting for there to be something to read.  I'm hoping you will be able to muster people back in to participating.

Here is a little video Jim and I did while fishing the Detroit River last spring.  It's a good back up plan when the winds are too bad for St. Clair and Lake Erie.

If it was the weekend before I could do it.  I'm headed north with the wife to celebrate our anniversary.  Hope you get enough.
