Just confirmed the second date and lake for the open tournaments.  Remember the first open is on Lk.St.Clair on July 21st. and now the second open will be held on Muskegon Lk. on August 25th, 2007.  Thanks for all of the positive input and comments on the phone and on the web.  I am really looking forward to both of these events and hope to see you guys there.

silverminnow

Whichever boat you bring will be great.  On Muskegon Lk. there will be no big water to fish as it is on Muskegon only so your old boat should do nicely.  Get them spinnerbaits ready to start chuckin... ;D ;D ;D

Skip Johnson

I like the new title and much less intimidating to the inexperienced or new tournament angler ;)
Go Big or Go Home!

I agree....Ametuer Anglers Series is better

dartag

strange that the second one is the same day as the One on One classic on Gun Lake.  can't be both places

silverminnow

The one on one is on the 26th, the ametuer angler is on the 25th.

We considered having it together but did not want to beat up the water the day before the one on one and ruin it for those guys.

Hope to see you there.

sorry about the mix up.. too many events to keep track of.. i like the name change. (Ametuer Angler Series)  i see they are still debating the name on the LSCN site.  must be they don't read this site.

silverminnow

Actually I just posted on lscn and noted the second post on that site and noted the name clarification.  Hopefully that will clear some things up.  Hope all is well with you and can't wait until we get to fish.

To fish these, what do you have to do?  Memberships, qualifiers, etc...?  I would love to go up against some of you guys.  Probably get taught how to keep my mouth closed, but I would still talk smack.  What's competition if you can't talk smack, right? ;)

These are both open tournaments. Their is no membership required for these events.  The entry fee is $90.00 plus $10.00 for big bass.  The only stipulation for fishing is that if you have ever won $5000.00 in a single year with cash and prizes from fishing (not sponsorship money) you cannot fish in these opens.  The waters will have boundaries which will be explained at the meeting the morning of and will be posted as we get closer to the date of the tournament.  Pretty simple, good fun, good competition so I hope you do come out and fish.

Is this a team event, or a drawn event?  If team, I will probably try to make the Muskegon Lake tourney.  St. Clair is a long ways away, and I have a tourney then already.  Thanks for the help everyone.

LGMOUTH

This is a Team event although Im sure you can fish it alone.
When you are in any contest you should work as if there whereto the very last minute a chance to loose it.

1javelin

I like team events, because I have a good partner to fish with.  We kind of run on the same drives I guess.  It seems to do alright so far.  I don't like the idea of having someone I don't know in the boat with me, not yet.  I'm still new to this, and I am barely comfortable as it is.

silverminnow

Well, bring your partner and plan on fishing.  We would love to see you there.  I will be a Bass Pro in Auburn Hills on Sat. from 11-2pm with flyers and to answer any questions that guys may have.  If you are around there stop by.

squid

Can't miss him....he will be there with flyers in his hands and smiling...lol
