Thanks FF. I will probably need the boats. I usually do. So you can... well, you can just go the one way ;D I will offer fishing advice for those who would like some tips at the big pre-tournament meeting. That may be my only trip to White Lake (that one anyway) this year, but it fishes similar as far as just catching some bass each year.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Hey Dan,  Put me down as a boater.  I can go both ways though.... errrrrrrrrr  I mean boater or non boater.  I've only been on White twice so I can hop in another boat if need be.  Just let me know when it gets closer, what you need me to do.    :)
Hahaha!  Glad to hear you are not going "both ways"!  See you on white, Jeff.

djkimmel

Well, actually he (or anyone else) can go whatever way they want... as long as they don't leave White Lake! :o

Put up a White Lake Tear Drop Tournament Trail story and pics on my http://teardropbass.com/ blog. You can access the blog from a couple different buttons on the main page. It has some good info for White for the DK Open hopefuls.

Ok it's been a while I know,  I haven't forgotten about all of you..life has been a little crazy for me,  I lost my job in February but I'm enjoying be off,  but that means hubby has to work alot of hours while I've been enjoying my second passion!  We haven't been able to fish many tournaments this year...we will however make this one...so Dan count Terry in as a boater and me as a non boater,  we can fish together or not however you want to work it.  We are looking forward to seeing everyone!

Wow! That is great news. I'm collecting some goodies to give away as usual. Hopefully everyone will get something. I appreciate that companies are willing in these tough times to still donate some prizes for everyone. I will start listing them off soon.

The tournament season isn't getting any less crowded... We'll do okay. A few more persons have told me they'd be there too. Just have to keep pestering them to post here.

There is an NBAA tournament on St. Clair on the 11th, The Saturday St. Clair Double Barrel Shootout. This series typically draws pretty good, especially when it moves to the St. Clair River.

This is the last of the series, and there may be a few guys making a run at qualifying for the Spring Championship. Also, there have been some huge weights caught over there, lately.

Some of the GLB guys are fishing that series.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be there, with a couple more crankbaits for prizes. Non-boater. Whats the lodging looking like? Is there a campground, or cheap motel on or near the lake? I would love to come up Friday morning, maybe bring my boat to fish Friday and possibly Sunday morning. Thats assuming my pos truck will make it that far. Unless there's a boater that needs a practice partner and has an open seat in their truck for me (maybe a place to sleep also). I'm certainly willing to split costs. If I do end up driving, I may be able to bring another non-boater with me, if there willing to stay a night or two. Where are you eetz? You can hop in with me.

Mike S.

There are a couple of motels within 5 minutes of the lake.  I'm not sure about campgrounds, though.

thedude

there's a motel 8 on the 31 exit. Search montague or whitehall lodging.

i've actually slept on the front deck of a legend le-19 at the ramp there... it was quite nice. Would've been great had those salmon fisherman not started filing through at 3am
