ABA Saginaw Bay

I've never been on the bay before.... so couple questions.  Well, one question and depending on the answer I might have a couple more questions.

Is the bay doable in a 16.4 ft Nitro?

It can be done, but would stay within 2 miles of shore and stick to the inner bay.  Also wouldn't do it when the water is cold.  Wildfowl bay would be a good option with a boat that size.  On the open water parts of the bay, the wave/wind forecasts are not that reliable out there.  You should always be ready to run thourgh at least four footers, on most days they will show up at one point or antother.  If you stick to an area like wildfowl bay (bayport) you won't have to deal with as much of this.
