Hey guys, wanted to send out a big apology for not showing up today for the tourney. I know how big of a let down it is and what a pain it is when this happens as I have been tourney director for our club for 2 years now. Up until 7:30p.m. last night it was a go. I was out bowhunting and made a marginal shot on a deer. After tracking a short ways and finding out I only got about 4 inches (broken arrow) of penetration I knew I was going to have to go back in the morning and, miss the tourney I've been looking forward too all year. I was looking forward to fishing with and meeting you guys. I would have let this deer go any other year but hunting time is going to be minimal this year with a busy work schedule. On a better note I did recover the deer this morning. It was only about 30 yards from where I stopped last nite. Nice mature doe with no fawns. Actually a good shot. Right behind the shoulder but clipped the spine and only got 1 lung. Hunting from a ground blind and shooting a little uphill. For a spinal wound that deer really could hoof it!!! This is as quick as I could get word out as my home computer has been down for a couple weeks. Hope all goes well and everyone gets a 6lber!!!
