LGMOUTH is on a roll! He tells me his greatest victory this summer has been winning the 2000th member contest but a close 2nd is winning another GreatLakesBass.com members' tournament! This time, the fall 2011 MadWags Memorial on Skegemog Lake fishing with KHefner. They teamed up for 5 smallmouth bass weighing 16.61 pounds winning by just a hair over 2nd place Cy and Firefighter Jeff.

Okay, it was a 9 pound 'hair' so it wasn't really that close. LGMOUTH also caught big bass of the event with a toad 4.61 pounds smallmouth bass.

More detailed results and pictures to follow but the real hot story may have been a tactical error by Cy and Firefighter Jeff! They threw back a jumbo perch leading to a special tournament committee ruling on the coveted big ugly prize!

After a brief evaluation by the committee of myself and his Mom, the decision was made to award Big Ugly to TheFishinPollock for his fortuitous 'catch' since there were no other entries! (It was his Mom's first tournament by the way.) I'll let the picture speak for itself.

Had fun Dan.  Too bad the fishing wasn't better... at least the weather cleared up for the event.

Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

And see... you didn't even need to duck hunt. You got one anyway! Glad you and 'Mom' had fun. I'm honored that she chose us for her first tournament!

We had a blast. Veronica got a little cold in the morning, and a little tired in the afternoon, but shes still talking about her day. One short fish was all we ever put in the boat, but it was still a wonderful trip. Thank you Dan for doing these tournaments for us.

bassfan586

As always tons of fun Dan.  Too bad all we could manage was two short fish.  At least the weather was nice compared to friday.  Cant wait till the spring open!!
Got one!

Firefighter Jeff

You know, I mentioned to Cy how he should throw it in the livewell for the big ugly.  Guess he figured Basfan586 would win it anyway  !!!
Thanks again, so much Dan for all the work you put in, so some of us members can have a little fun.
Thanks also to the sponsors for donating the prizes and such.

Glad you all had fun. I like the 46 on Monday morning a little better than the 26 on Sunday morning but both days were beautiful.

I have a sponsors update and thanks coming along with more pictures and complete results later tomorrow. Need one more recovery night of sleep.
