NBAA Fall Classic on Muskegon Lake sign up tomorrow! The first 300 anglers to register at this year's Fall Classic will each receive a FREE WFN fishing rod ($75 value) just for fishing in this year's event! Pretty good deal I think! I can always use a (free) fishing rod!

First place at this year's Fall Classic will be a Tracker Boat/Mercury Motor package. This great prize package along with thousands in cash and prizes will be given away at the 2011 NBAA Fall Classic. Dates for this special event are September 29th – October 1st.

I will be there at registration signing people up for GreatLakesBass.com and GreatLakesIceFishing.com. Stop by my table and say hi!! Registration is tomorrow 3:00pm until 7:00pm.

The host hotel for the Fall Classic will be the Shoreline Inn. The Shoreline Inn is a great place located right on the waters of beautiful Muskegon Lake. You can call and make your reservations now @ (231) 727-8483 and let them know you're from NBAA. Or you can visit them on line at www.shorelineinn.com. The banquet will take place at the Shoreline Inn right on Muskegon Lake. Stay tuned to the web at www.nbaa-bass.com.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

FISH HARD!!!

gr@ssmonkey

that would not surprise me.....those guys flat catch them were ever they seem to go.......hey nice job at the burt/mullet classic tim, i know that stuff was tuff to swallow on the second day, we didn't even get a bite either day and we were on them in practice :o :o :-[

TCook

Yes Ron Nelson is one of the best in the state and I was glad to hear he won.

Our fish shut off big time that second day I knew it was going to get tough the night before with the weather report even though we left a bunch of fish we could see at noon the 1st day after we got our limit. Unfortunately we wasted alot of our first day of practice fixing electrical problems on my partners boat. We had no electronics, bildge pumps, or livewells and the boat was filling with water so it was cut short and off we went to hardwire everything. So we really only ended up finding two spots we felt good about with our shortened practice and it turned out to really hurt us. We made the biggest mistake ever in atleast my tournament history. Our plan was to hit the same exact spot Watts ended up winning on first thing because we had good reason to think the bigger fish might be filtering in although we were going on just one bite on it which was a 5 pounder on the first cast to the sweet spot. We didn't have enough time to check a second time and didn't realize its potential. Our gameplan was to hit it first thing day 1 if nobody was on it but the second boat ahead of us stopped but on the wrong side. It was a last second decision as we were passing him to keep going to what we thought was our primary area just because we didn't want to play bumper boats. Never again will I let another boat fishing the same area affect my decisions.
FISH HARD!!!
