Any suggestions for a good aftermarket pedestal seat?

fiker

No.  When mine quit working I looked into replacing it.  Cost is just under $100. I was told they only last 3 or 4 years.  My office chair is way older than that and still works great.  It didn't cost $100 either.

The manufacturers aren't bashful about charging more money because something has the "marine" label on it.  Then they should also put more into the engineering and production of things so that they last longer in the aquatic environment.

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

What are you looking for?  I know some people that live in your area that know a few things about watery stuff.

I got a custom ordered seat from Tempress off of ebay.  Sorry, Dan, the wife ordered it.  Anyways, it's a high back folding seat, assuming that is what you are looking for.  You get to pick your color scheme, and it costs $125 plus shipping.  It is an awesome seat.  I am very happy with it.

If you are looking for the butt seat style, I ordered 2 from Overton's a few years ago.  They were nice.  But, if you are going to go that route, talk to Waterfoul and see what he can do.  He manages a West Marine store in GR.  Heck, talk to him anyways, he can probably get you going in the right direction.

What brand of boat? I have stuck to the brand parts department in the past. I got one from Ranger Boats over 10 years ago and it still works fine.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I have a Ranger, I will check with them tomorrow.  I am looking for the tournament style (the kind you basically just lean up against).

I've got the adjustable butt seat and adjustable chair from an older Ranger I used to have I'd be willing to part with....
