I fished the weeknight NBAA on Cass last night with that old guy Dartag. He has made a check out there every time he has fished this year so I was planning on an after tournament celebration with our winnings. As I said in my oter post in reports on Union lake we are like to positive ends of a magnet when we get together. The weather always sucks. The wind was blowing pretty good most of the night and threatining thunderstorms were looming all around us. Well as Dartag promised he put on a clinic on how to catch fish at Cass. Together we boated at least 20 fish that all reached the magical 13 7/8" mark. We did manage 2 just keepers on gobie baits and Dartag caught our kicker fish of the night on a pop-r. It tipped the scales at 2lbs even. The winners of the event had just over 10lbs I belive and there were several limits in the 5-7lb range. No celebration for us. We did get to see lots of Eye Candy when we got to the ramp though. One was so impressive that as I was backing the the boat into the water I was focused more on the provacative position the young lady was in instead of were the trailor was and just about backed the boat tire onto the ramp. If my partner or any of the other 10 fisherman were watching what I was about to do instead of what I was watching it would have been o.k. All in all it was another great night on the water with a good friend and I am looking forward to doing it again. For all of you that dont fish weeknight tournaments you should try it. It may only be 3 hours, but it seems to me to be more exciting than an 8hour event just because you have the adrenaline rush the whole time you are there. You have to be quick in your spots and strategically fish your areas if you are not on them. LOTS OF FUN. Thanks for showing me how to catch'em steve.

yep that was her..  i could see the smiles from you boys on shore when,  i got out of the way.    not sure where our fish were.  the water was clearer this week.  they just were not hitting what we had to offer..

yeah the water was real clear in most areas lastnight.  I caught several small fish.  I caught 5 fish in 5 casts starting with the big fish then all the next 4 were that magical 13.5-13.75 inch mark.  Caught several largemouth in areas and same thing just a little to short.  I used the bump board alot lastnight.
