This time in an NBAA on St. Clair... was there hunting and pecking for next weekend so we missed the weighin but talked to some of the anglers after the weighin. Told Pappas and Emery weighed in a monster limit of 5 smallies weighing 27.5 pounds today on St. Clair!!!

5alive and bigbassbarry had 22 pounds and missed the money!?! Huge catches.

Ben and I didn't do that well, but we caught decent numbers of quality bass. Still a lot to learn.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I was there too.  Mike and I brought in 20.5 lbs.  The days of placing in the money with 20+ are over  :o.

What an incredible limit!  Great job!

Yesterday's NBAA on St Clair was won with a 26.03 by Todd Koehler and Dave Carter, with 6.01 for a "Big Bass" anchor.

Man, the weights on St. Clair have been SICK this season. There have been a bunch of fish over six pounds weighed in this year.

fished the event with Poorboy.  he was my guide for the day.. we started in the lower river but only had one keeper.  PB lost a nice one at our second stop.  went upstream to a local spot and started drifting.  i had drift fished for walleye for years,  but never smallmouth.  we started catching small fish on drop shot.  we managed to get a  4.75 and another over 4.  we got a limit and started to cull but never got another big one to the boat.  the ride back down the river was smooth.  just past the Harsons Island ferry we saw a HUGE sturgon jump clear out of the water.  the lake was a little rough with the wind.  weighed in 15.5 which was about the middle of the pack.  what an amazing fishery we have.   half the boats weighed in a fish over 5 lbs.  we did have to rig a weight to our big fish to keep them down in the live well.  the were alive and in good shape at the end of the day.  the hot dogs, chips and drinks hit the spot at the end of the day.
had to go to HOOTERS on the way home to celebrate Fishon1219's second place in FOM.  even if he did not show up for the party.  they said they would send him the bill
