Combat Bass Fishing Products

Looking to hear from people who have used or purchased the marked map series.  Were they worth the money?  Did you get the additional package where you can get daily updates?  Was the info beneficial and different from the basic run of the mill info that we all know?

What a great question!  I will defer to my customers for the final say on how they see the value of the map series but your question made me think of the following tools and advantages that the maps can give you:

• Like to start a drift where it gets hot...got that too

• Know where to start on a break that stretches for a mile or more

• Have access to spots that have taken me over a decade to develop through research

I was looking on Combat-bassfishing for the product and it seemed like the product may have not been updated.  The newsletter page says 2006 newsletter and there didn't seem to be much info that separated the combat-bassfishing maps from getting a map from fishing hot spots (which i already have).  That made me wonder about how current the info is and how beneficial it is.

darn YOU!!!!!!!  LOL That is exactly the info i was looking for.  Sounds like a great product. I assume then that the newsletter is up to date also.

That is why I asked you. Wayne has the newest maps for sales on www.xtremebasstackle.com and blogs his latest news on www.basstothefuture.com. The combat-bassfishing.com website hasn't been updated in a little while for several reasons. I don't believe he is actively providing the pro staff updates on there at the moment. Like any business, he is evolving his business model the past couple seasons and I'm not sure if he plans to do the pro staff updates this year or not. I was waiting for an answer from him on that because we haven't discussed it recently.

I sell the new HD Marked Map Series I and the book No Secrets on Lake St. Clair Volume 1 on the GreatLakesBass.com store. I own and use all of Wayne's products. I wish other major lakes had something similar. His maps go way beyond the general information available on the Hot Spots Maps.

I use Wayne's maps. I just recently got his Series 1 maps in the new HD edition. If you're not familiar with LSC bass fishing, this is an excellent starting point to help you get on fish. I am headed out on LSC tomorrow and have decided that I will be fishing three areas that are covered in Series 1. Those maps are for angling use only. Use an NOAA Navigation Map for navigation purposes.

So far this year his new Triple Threat tube has been awesome for me so far this season. There are plenty of great tube colors that Wayne sells that are excellent for LSC.

Somehow, I did not get any Triple Threat. I will have to fix that before I go after any more brown bass.

Crankbaits and the Triple Threat were ticket today DK. Caught a few early on a S.W.A.G. Spinnerbait and a S.W.A.G. swim jig and then started to drag tubes and the best color was triple threat on a S.W.A.G. tube jig. I put a rattle on it to help them find it better. I only fished spots on his marked map series.

I rarely use rattles. I wonder how often it helps and if sometimes it hurts?

I need to get some Triple Threat tubes to try. Not sure when I'll be back on the types of waters I would most likely use it. Maybe bass opening day on St. Clair to watch the NBAA Super Bass Open?

Couldn't prove it by me whether or not a rattle helps or hinders.  I have fished with rattles and then the rattle breaks off and I am still catching fish at the same rate.  That's where I would say it was tube color.  Then there have been those times when the rattle has broken off and I stop catching them.  Put a rattle on and back to catching.  That's the day where the rattle makes the difference.  Then there have been those days where I have changed to having no rattle and bam...........Fish On!!  I try to let the fish tell me what they want.  Patience is key.

I have the maps, and every one of the spots is marked on my boat's GPS. 

I can honestly say this, you can save the price of the maps in gas savings alone in just one season.   

It's easy to look at that lake and become intimidated by so much water.  Having a research proven set of maps can give you a plan of action. 

Even if you don't tournament fish, the maps save you lots of time and gas.

That's how I feel about them fiker. When I was traveling around the country fishing the mid-level tournaments, I spent a ton of money and time just learning a lot of general information that maps like these would have provided if they existed on other bodies of water. I told Wayne to franchise.
