That's true about the size of the field for FOM, but Kid is fishing that event, so we don't want to have a conflict.  BTW- Kid, what's you're actual name?  I'm sure you told me at the DK, but the older I get, the less I remember.  DOH!

My Dad and I are looking forward to fishing as many of these as we can.  Dont really have any preferences on dates, so far the ones that are picked work out pretty good.  Cant wait to get on the water.  Shane your not going to cry when you see your old boat are you?

Sounds good, are the number of boaters and non-boaters pretty equal? Also, is it a random draw that morning or will we know who we are fishing with prior to the events.

Wow!  Our club is growing quick!  I am really looking forward to seeing Brian, his dad, and HIS boat!   I was only used to seeing it from the inside looking out.   What an awesome year this is going to be.

We usually do some sort of random draw, but try to also pair up guys to make sure they aren't fishing with the same people every week.

Not sure about the ratio.  Off the top of my head:

Tom, Mark, Shane, Brian (Big Game), Jack, Joe, Rick, Chris, Seth are boaters I think.  A couple of the boats are a little small for St. Clair, but will be fine for the other 2 lakes.  Looks fairly even at this point.

April   21 - not sure on C&R open,    (no Mark or Jack)
          28 -  CLUB Cass lake w/Dan   (no Kid or Mark)

May - we have a couple of options here - we can do LSC on the 19th      (no kid, or we can do the 26th (holiday weekend) and do Kent lake.

June     9th    Club LSC or Kent depending on May choice
July      21  Club Cass
Aug      11th - open date                  (no Jack)

Is anyone qualified for the NBAA Championship held during the Memorial weekend at Houghton Lake?  Tom and I are alternates.  I think we will be notified by March if there any spots left.  Tom correct me if I'm wrong.  I'm not optimistic about them needing alternates but we are the next team to go if needed.  Tom whats your take on this?

Shane - the NBAA 2007 championship doesn't start till after memorial day -  registration is Tue 5/29, with tourney the 30/31/1st.  So, the 26th date should be ok unlless you are looking to go the weekend before?

Oh, BTW - Did we already clear these dates with DK, McCarter, and Wayne Carpenter?  I'm assuming so.

Sorry 'bout that Luke... I was going off of Jack's list.  On April 21, we'd be missing 2 boaters (Jack and Mark) which would be tough for a "Day on the Lake" event since they're generally so well attended.  We need the boaters.  On the 28th we'd only be missing one boater.  Personally, I'm fine with the 21st or 28th. if Jack or Mark were able to arrange to be there.  But I think Mark is out of town and Jack's fishing some other event...

Not sure what happened to May 5.  Jack, was that not an option??  Originally Mark was going to be gone, but now it looks like he'll be in town.  So does that mean everyone could make the 5th?  If so, maybe we should do Kent on May 5 and do LSC on June 9.

Another scenario that might work would be if we could get DK to do Cass on May 5 (So both Kid and Mark can make the Day on the Lake event) and just do Kent in April.  Sheesh...so much to figure out.

haha okay well here is a proposal from me. Maybe you can write a couple proposals down and have everyone vote on them at the meeting. I won't be able to attend, but I can let you know which one i like best.
April 28th-Club Kent (Mark and I are both gone)
May 5th-Club with Dan Kimmel on Cass
May12th-DK open
June 9th-Club on LSC
July 21st-Club on Cass
August 11th or 18th-Wayne Carpenter on LSC (either one)
September 1st-Club on Kent with PB

With this schedule we will only have one event where everyone can't make it. (Pending future schedules)

That's a great idea.  The only day I can make the show though is Friday during the day.  I think Mark, me, Steve L., and maybe Shane are going. (Still need to check with Shane)  But my guess is most guys have to work that day.  Not sure what else we could do other than wait until the Feb 3 meeting.

I started a new thread just now since this one is getting soooo long.  Hopefully it'll help eliminate confusion.  Go check it out guys.

I'm fine right now with whatever dates get set.  I can be flexible now compared to other guys with schedule conflicts.
