What are you all throwing?

I am just about out of the cheap BPS Enticers and need to restock.  Now that I know what I want out of a jig, I can step up and purchase some decent ones that will work the way I think they should work.

One thing I don't like about the Enticers is the skirt bunches up when wet.  That makes the profile smaller and seems like it defeats the purpose of having a skirt.  I have heard the round rubber skirts flare out more and will not bunch together when wet.  So I would like to get something with a nice rubber skirt.

Also, hook quality must be there.  I am not sure what the Enticers use but I am not a fan.  I was thinking a premium hook like Gammy, Owner, or Trokar.

Lastly is the jig head itself.  I like using swim jigs but they don't have a flat bottom that allows the bait to sit even on the bottom.  The arkie style heads don't seem like they would be great around thick cover.

So with that...
Does anyone know of a good jig that has a rubber skirt, premium hook, and has both the flat bottom and vertical eye to tie to so it will slip through weeds better?

I appreciate the insight.  I did look at the KustomKickers jigs and they look great.  I just haven't seen one before.  Not many anglers get out their jigs and show their buds.

Enough rambling.  I am looking at buying something tonight so it will be here before next weeks start of tournaments.

Definitely go with kustom kickers. They have everything you ask for and I believe their 2014 products will be switched from gammys to trokar hooks.  The 2k freak and dock monkeys are about as weedless as they come. I started using them this season and they are killer in the weeds for big fish. The freak is a very versatile jig and big bass love it!!

I'll second the Kustom Kickers.  Great jigs and a great company.

I guess I'll put one in for Kustom Kicker as well.   You can just click on the link in the logo below.   ;D ;D
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

Add another vote for kustom kicker.  I throw two types of jigs, custom kickers, and jigs that I make myself.  im not a purist and do not make my own jig heads.  I purchase premade, pre painted jig heads and the make the skirting for them.  Its a fun way to pass the time in the winter and when you can't get on the water, so you might want to give it a try.

Started making my own a couple years ago.  There are lots of video's on the net to show you what to do.    Mine cost less than 1.00 to make and seem to work great.  Had a great day today swimming a jig in pads.

I just purchased a few Kustom Kicker jigs with LBF.com Labor day sale.  Should be here soon...

I use Nemesis jigs for most of my traditional jig fishing, and for a more finesse type situation I turn to Jewel Bait Co.'s Eakins jigs.

I am slowly but surely giving up plastic for pork.  I fished pork for years and hated the aggravation, but I am becoming convinced that plastic simply doesn't replace many of the intrinsic values of good ole' Uncle Josh.

I agree with that eakins jig recommendation. Definitely a good jig.

I am still receiving a bunch of custom jigs from makers across the country.  I wanted to compare a bunch of them to see which ones seem to have superior quality along with functionality.  Just the few packs I have received so far has made me rethink jigs all together.  I never understood the jig and now with all of these different designs, it has my mind going a 100 mph.  Good stuff...
