What color jig would work best for each water situation, normally?  I know the norm is black and blue, and watermelon, but under different water conditions during different seasons, there has to be some change and variation there.  Has anyone documented a gradual color scale for this? ??? :-\'

The best color Jig. That is easy, it is the one that you have the most confidence in. I through 1 color jig year round from here to texas.

my rule of thumb is like any other lure. in clear water go with natural colors and possibly down size. and in dirty water bright colors, with a rattle

I have found that in clear water that am all black jig or a black jig with a little blue in it works the best. I am a pork forg guy and I mostly use uncle josh number 11-a pork frog in black and blue in the clear water and when the water is stained I will use a black and chartruse jig with the black and chartruse pork trailer.

Also, with clear water I like to use a smaller jig and I trim most of the skirt away to give the jig as small a profile as possible. I do this mostly for summer time fishing and when the water is still cold I like a big bulky looking jig.

I have been looking for some new jigs and I came accross a company that makes some awsome jigs and I have become a Pro-Staffer for them.
The company is called Exodus baits and they are a non-profit lure company and all of the proceeds go to the fishing for kids organization which is a group that offers outdoors experiences to children that other wise would not have the opportunity.

So if anybody is looking for some jigs or any other soft plastics take a look at there web site and see what you think and you can PM me with any questions and I will be glad to answer them. The web address is
