Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. 

Everyday seems like a rollercoaster.  Saturday was down, Sunday he was more alert, Monday he looked out of it and today I am happy to say he looks better.  I just got a call from my sister saying he stood for 1/2 second.  I know it will be up and down like this for a awhile, but it was sure good to hear better news after yesterday.  He is in his own private room out of CCU which is real good thing.  CCU is a tough floor to stay positve.

I've been through this and the best advice I can give is to stay positive, persevere and be there.  Parents can see everything in their children's faces.  Positive, negative, compassion, hurt, love... you name it.  Stay positive and hang in there.  One of the things my grandfather told me was that every day he could feel the love and encouragement even if he couldnt respond or tell us.  It was the presence that got him through.
