The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has announced public forums to be held throughout Michigan this spring, inviting the public to discuss local and statewide fisheries management activities and concerns.

"Conversations & Coffee with DNR Fisheries Division" will take place in each of the eight management units that oversee the state's fisheries and will give people the opportunity to meet managers and biologists, discuss local issues and management activities, and get specific questions answered.

These informal forums also will make information available on local and statewide regulations affecting anglers. Refreshments will be provided.

Meeting date, time and location include:
Wednesday, April 16, from 7 to 9 p.m. (EST) at the Portage Lake District Library located at 58 Huron St. in Houghton, hosted by the Western Lake Superior Management Unit.

For more information on these meetings, visit www.michigan.gov/fishing.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
