This sucks...This is killing my fishing trips and definely making me think about figuring a way to just completely stop using gas.

The high gas prices aren't bad enough, but then to hear about Exxon-Mobile's record profits and every other oil company raking in record money is what really gets me. They're like the big bully on the block, they'll keep doing what they want and because there is nobody to stop them. But bragging about record profits?

Supply and demand rules. :'(
I'm going to use less gas by fishing inland local lakes, (I haven't developed an addiction to big water luckily like a lot of you) and buy from whatever station is selling gas cheaper. Of course at the moment it looks as if a little price fixing might be going on. I did find a deal for $3.39 this morning. :o

I agree with supply and demand but if the gov. could say you can only make so much on a gallon of gas you would see supply increase big time very quickly.

Supply and Demand rules are fine for consumer products, but a building block of our economy needs a little oversight!  Our current government is using the "supply and demand" to justify not taking action which is about as equivalent to major company CEO's  saying "I have a responsibility to our stock holders" when they lie, cheat and steal!

The administration of the past 7 years has promoted the glorious praise to the stockholder. Meanwhile we all have to suffer as we are raped of our hard earned cash. The media hasn't been any help either with their dome and glom reports about $4.00 gas. Really the only thing we can do, unfortunately, is cut back our usage . It cost me $61.00 for less than 18 gals. of gas this morning. If I fish Lobdell and Fenton this weekend instead of St. Clair on Sunday I should have enough gas in my truck to make it to next Wed. or Thurs.

Gas prices will always confuse me.  I have tried to study on them and cant seem to make any sense of any of it.  How something can cost more today than it did yesterday when they purchased it 4 days ago is beyond me.

On another note.  I believe that Illinois has a higher gasoline tax than Mich.  This morning in the IL side of the river in Metro East St. Louis gas is at 2.89.  Has been all weekend.  On monday while at Table Rock gas as at 2.65.

Just Confusing.
I am a pre bred mix between a ninja and a polar bear.  A truly deadly combination.
