What is the FLW thinking ???
Not only the 3&4 weigh ins but pre-registration will be held in Detroit cobo hall.
I'm sorry but I think the FLW screwed up having the anglers travel from Trenton to Detroit to register and to transport  fish in there livewells. With all the orange barrels and potholes along the way the fish will be beat to death.
They could have went to the Taylor sportsplex which is nearby or just have it at the Elisabeth park like Days 1 and 2

The City of Detroit wants to be involved in bass tournaments apparently. We need more cooperation to have more and bigger events up here. Lot's of big tournaments will travel fish 1/2 hour to an hour. If the wells are full of good water, the fish should be in as good or better shape than they are in the wells on the Great Lakes. Only a small number of fish will be taken to Cobo.

This is going to be a HUGE event for Michigan bass tournament fishing. Could have a significant impact on the sport up here.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I wouldn't think that drive would be any harder on the fish than an hour + run from Pelee. I am sure livewells will be treated before they leave the marina.

They do this all over the country, all the time.  One of the stipulations for the Bassmaster Classic is that a large arena type weigh-in facility be within an hour and a half or less driving distance from the launch site.  This will be no big deal.

Revtro

What are the dates and times of those 2 weigh ins?  I would like to attend.

This years Bassmaster Classic weigh in was 1 hour and 15 minutes away from the launch and the weigh in on day two took 4 hours and 45 minutes once it started.

So this isn't that big a deal add to this I know that the FLW crew provides ice and chemicals for the livewells and stand there to make sure you use them.

I'm sure they will also have the whole show going on at Cobo for people to enjoy themselves while waiting for the anglers.

This is going to be a big event for Detroit and if we want to see more of these we need to show up and support them.

What are the dates, times and addresses for the places to be. I can find Cobo, but that's it.

July 12 & 13 at Elizabeth Park Trenton MI.

Find Elizabeth park here http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?searchtype=address&country=US&addtohistory=&searchtab=home&formtype=address&popflag=0&latitude=&longitude=&name=&phone=&level=&cat=Elizibeth+Park&address=66+Grosse+ile+parkway&city=trenton&state=mi&zipcode=48183

July 14 & 15 Cobo Hall

As for weigh in times I'm not sure but you can bet it will be some time after 2:00 PM on the 12 & 13 and around 3 on the 14 & 15

What I was trying to say is maybe they should have an alternate route to cobo so they don't have to sit in a traffic jam especially on friday afternoon. it's great to see them back especially in my backyard.

Roy Randolph

I do believe that they are getting a police escort from the launch to Cobo
