FINALLY!!!!! Got in the water.  The difference with the jackplate is massive.   Loaded , gas, batteries, dad, 1 vent pulg out and it comes out of the water perfectly.  Tons of bow lift . The contact point of hull and water is now a foot in front of the drivers consol instead of near the front of the boat.   Hit a new speed while I was at it 55.7 . Not bad for a 115.    Runs at a incrideable 20 mph at 3050 rpm . Much improved handeling also. More responsive to motor turn.

Now the down side.   There is not enuff prop behind her.  At 3 1/2 below pad, turning 5900, with a water psi of 16 and only 8.2 on the trim meter.  Took it up to 3 inches in 1/8 inch incriments . The trim angle kept dropping and ended up at   3 inches below pad turning 5900 at 5.5 trim angle and 14 psi. Lost some bow lift at 3 inches and had a blowout.  Never did pitch any tail at all so it is running very flat .

I think I am due to try a 23 pitch, mabye some cup.  I feel there is more trim angle to be had and mabye squeeze a mph or 2 more out of her.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Yea I am happy with the change from last year.  Being a nitpicker for 25 years as a job makes me critical till I get it right though. LOL

Remember you don't quit fishing when you get old, you get old when you quit fishing

Beats me I still haven't been out.   There was a small inch sized area by the hull tag that caused the gel to chip off there. So it is at the shop being takin care of. Eh , stuff happens.  I just have to have it back no later than tudsday night as the first event is wednesday night.
