Very nice.  I just upgraded my TM also.  You are definitely gonna like the extra power of your new troller at lower lower settings!

Welllllllllllllllll. I'm not so happy with the different TM Frick. Seems the center bearing is and has been shot for a while. Had it out today. Would run great then start to shudder/grind and then slow down to a stop.  Brought it home. No wires or plugs or breaker got hot . So I hardwired it instead of a plug. Same results. Pulled off the prop and head cover. A bunch of water poured out of the head and it was all coated in black like oil.  Thankfully the guy is in my club and he said he would take the unit back.

On a good not the charger is awesomeeeeeee!

Another guy in the club has a 80# motor guide that he is going to let me try out to see if I like it. Has the aluminium prop and the digital upgrade.  Only issue is the minn kota was 50 bucks. The MG is going to be 200. Ugh. I just spent 200 on the charger.

I do have the new edge that can go back on . Course I will have to redrill the holes I just resined shut open again........, but I am fairly certain I can come up with the 200 for the MG. Really don't want to go back to the 12V.

I'm pretty sure the MG will not line up with the Maxxum holes too ............ so more holes!  Front of the boat is turning into swiss cheese at this rate lol

Well that sucks.  Sorry to hear it did not work.  You could probably get the parts to fix it for like 140 bucks.  I put a new armature, seals, brush holders, and brushes in a 70# edge for like 115 bucks.
On a different note on board chargers are awesome.
Good luck

I ended up buying( incredabley cheap ) a Motor Guide Tour 82# . This thing is awesome. It pulls the boat at 5-7 MPH and has all metal on the casing and the bracket. Every Minn Kota I have had has wore out the plastic where the bar locks it into place when deployed.  This one has all metal. The guy did the digital upgrade and the aluminium 3 blade prop already.  So far I am very impressed with it  :D
