Haven't been fishing in almost a week

How is everyone doing? I haven't been fishing since last Tuesday. Having withdrawals. Hope the rest of you are getting out fishing. If so, where have you been?

I hit Kent Lake on Saturday with Tips Up for Troops and then my buddy and I went out on LSC on Sunday.  The waves were brutal Sunday morning so we went to Fords Cove and some Canals to target largemouth.  Did pretty good on Sunday, but Kent Lake wasn't real generous for us on Saturday.  Still had a great time fishing with the vet I was paired up with.

Got out on Upper Straits Sunday afternoon. Found the fish very active and hanging on the outside weed edges. Mostly small fish but then I went to a large sand flat and decided to try some top water. Haven't fished that in a while. Caught 3 big largemouths with schools of big ones following them into the boat. That was fun because I don't normally through topwater much and it was a good reminder of how productive it can be.

Haven't been fishing since the DK open. God I miss my boat.

Missed you at Kent.  We ended up 3rd place.  Found fish in one of the back bays.  My Vet caught a Huge Gar Pike on a Waky Worm.   Had a fun day.   Actually only weighed 6 fish.  Had one that was a squeeker and was not sure how close they were going to check.  Turns out we should have weighed it.  We missed 2nd by 1/2 a pound.  Still a great day and event.

I fished StClair Sunday in the wind.... Drifting 10 mph drop shotting is a new technique. LOL It worked well.

I'm fishing a Fletchers Pond tournament this Sat with my son Alex. Fathers day weekend... Should be fun.

I've been fishing west side lakes regularly (Spring Lake, Pere Marquette, Pentwater, Manistee, Portage) since mid-April along with tourneys in NE Michigan with one on Grand Lake near Alpena on Father's Day. It's been a great year so far regarding size & quantity so hopefully it lasts throughout the year. Took a kid and his father out Sunday on Pentwater and was able to watch his son catch his first smallie and on topwater too so it was really cool. Frog bite has really picked up the last few weeks near my home so that's always enjoyable. When I haven't been fishing I've been watching the Elite events on BASS Live while getting my yard work done so I don't get divorced! Hope everyone else is having a great year.

Well let's see... Fasttrack Marc and I fished a tournament last Monday on Big Whitefish.  Won it.  Then Reeds Lake on Wednesday.  Won it.  Then Bills Lake last night.  Won it.

So I'd say our fishing has been pretty good.  :-)  3-0 with Reeds again this Wednesday.
