Hotel in/near Trenton

Big dreams

I am getting ready to fish my first BFL tournament.  This will also be my first time on the Detroit River.  Besides being a little nervous, I am trying to find a place to stay close by.  I will only be in the hotel for 8 hours so it doesn't make sense to pay the high dollar but I don't want to catch any bugs while I am there either.  Half tempted to stay in the back of my truck.

Does anyone have any recommendations for hotels near Trenton?  I am looking to book by tomorrow evening.
Thanks

The only place I've really stayed there when I was fishing those tournaments and had my boat with me was the Best Western on West Road right at Exit 32.

I don't know anything really about the other places in the area. Pretty much everyone I knew stayed there too.

2nd the Best Western...Not the best but not bad and pretty much everyone is there so it is usually easy to link up with your partner...They also in the past provided security for the boats...Lots of places to get coffee and food close by...I think there is a BFL discount if you tell them when you reserve...
If you want to upgrade a bit I think it is a Hampton inn that sits right behind it...but it is more money..

That might be a Holiday Inn Express now behind it. Does cost more from what I saw.

I ended up staying at the Super 8...  There was a syringe on the floor in the hallway.  People were coming and going all night.  I checked out at 3:30 and there were a few people in the parking lot asking me if I was going to take them fishing.  It was pretty intense.  Next BFL even on the Detroit River isn't until August.  Will need to check into the Best Western.

I guess I should have added: DON'T STAY AT THE SUPER 8!!!!! Oh well, there's always something to learn along the way in the bass tournament game... better luck next time!
