That's it! I can't take no more!! I'm going fishing TWICE this week so I probably won't be answering my calls or responding to text during the day... I'll be busy!! No one wants to be around me for much longer if I don't get on the water.

If I actually catch anything I may share some pictures on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook (depending on my phone signal). As soon as I can I'll post some fishing reports. This weather has been brutal... and I've been the busiest I've ever been with websites work since before the 1st of this year (which is not actually a bad thing as fishing costs money).

Please, no jokes or comments about 'don't you ever work?'... etc.!! Everything I do is work. Some of it is just more fun than other parts!!

If you want to get on the big water this year ASAP Saturday is the day you better be going from the forecasts I'm seeing!! I'll be on a couple of my favorite little waters for some alone-time therapy - also good for me.

Today was a gorgeous day for fishing... I should have gone but for some reason I was sore and tired from the previous 2 days of fishing... I need to get in better shape. I used to fish more than 2 days in a row many, many times...

Hope you caught some. I had one awesome day Friday and one just really nice day (Saturday - mostly due to the weather, not catching). I might have done better if I waited until today to go to the 2nd lake but it feels like I've waited way too long already this year thanks to the weather!

I got out yesterday for my first trip of the year.   Fished a small inland lake nearby.

Water temps were 50-54.   Fish were caught in 3-4 fow.  All fish were caught on a jerk bait. All bit on the pause.  Some pauses were as long as 10-15 seconds. Some fish were hooked on the front hook.  (Feeding?) some didnt have a hook in their mouth at all.  (Reaction bite?)
All fish were healthy.

My guess is they had just moved up.

I talked to a home owner.  He said that usually this time of year he would see lots of shallow cruisers.  This year he hadn't seen any yet.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

He'll see them soon. Just needs to warm up a few more days. Not surprising that some bass are hooked outside of the mouth when the water has been so cold and is just warming up. They're still developing their reflexes again (is my theory).

Went to Orchard lk. sunday..water up to 49.6*, I got skunked. Saw a group of 6 (just under keepers) milling around, my bud caught 1, and 10 minutes later we saw a guy catch  a good one right where we fished  earlier.  Sure was good getting out....

That just means you needed to throw something else... or come back 30 minutes later?
