I have been biting my tongue for quite sometime now... and after this weekend... I've had it.

Yes, this is just my two cents, but I felt the need to share my emotional outburst with the rest of you.

Here's my copy of the letter I wrote to ESPN just moments ago.

RE: The BassMasters Classic

I am writing as a result of the poor coverage that was given this past weekend during the BassMasters Classic. I personally feel that you are taking the sport of bass fishing and turning it into a mockery. I do not feel that ESPN has gained full knowledge of the sport and can not bring the true element of fishing to the viewing public. I say this not because of what you did cover, but what you did not cover. I feel that you have shown bias coverage of the people involved with this weekend?s tournament purely based on anglers association with BASS. Of course, you had to show Luke Clausen a little bit, but that's only because he won the tournament. When I compare last years Classic with this years, I feel that ESPN has shafted Luke Clausen, and other great names in the industry (because they fish FLW) with limited fan fair and will continue to do so throughout the rest of the year. Time will tell. I have been on a lot of bass fishing websites today, and the "buzz" is already out, ESPN clearly does not want anything to do with people affiliated with other bass fishing organizations, and will edit the coverage to their liking. ESPN/BASS is already losing popularity among the bass fishing industry, and in the future, I think that you may need to rethink the way you do business.

Sincerely,

Josh E. Clark

Dan,

If this is not proper material for the board I apologize, and understand if you want to delete it.

Josh

I think they will have no question on how you feel about how things are going.

Have your feelings about Bass  changed in the last month.

On another note FLW this weekend was blocking logos on peoples shirts. I thought that looked a little cheesy.

Hey Josh,

Where are you sending that letter.  I wasn wanting to write one myself asking them why they hardly showed any fishing and they showed hours of comintating.  Can you please tell me the address or email that you are sending that too.

Thanks.

The letter looks good.

Clare,

Yes, I have been trying to stay as pro "bass" (sorry for the pun) as possible. They are making it very difficult for me to continue to give them my support.

Dhuff,
I went to the ESPN home page  http://espn.go.com/outdoors/index.html and then under the HOME tab there is a "contact us" selection. this is where I sent my opinion.

Thanks for letting me blow off some steam.
