Well, Mark and I went out to Erie again today and it did not disappoint.  Things started out slow with a limit of keepers but no huge fish.  But we caught a lot of different species including a near 13 inch Perch, a decent limit of Smallies, a big Goby, and some Sheeps.  The only thing missing was a Walleye.  :D

Anyway, the wind died completely and the water was DEAD CALM.  Seriously, I couldn't believe how calm it was out there.  With the wind dying, so did the fishing action.  No wind equaled no fish.  So we decided to check out an area for Largemouth and were amazed at what we found.  It started with 3 good keeper size Largemouth on 3 consecutive casts.  A few casts later and we had a dozen or so.  Most of them were keepers including these 2 that we caught and got some pics of.  The big one was just under 4lbs and I got it on a Tube.  The first bunch came on spinnerbaits, but the second wave came on tubes.  Mark also caught one or two in this same size class.  All in all, we probably got around 20 or so in that area before we headed back to the ramp.

Not a bad day on Erie.  Can't wait to go back.  Still plenty of fishing left I hope.
