Well guys get out there if you can because you only have a week left.  The Sagnasty is packed with walleyes.  Lots of small ones, but there are some nicer fish in the mix.

Between myself and a buddy, we boated probably 60 fish.  Took home a limit a piece of dandy eaters.  Caught some good fish as well-1 8#er, another close to eight, and probably 4-5 in the 5-6 range.  the rest were 2-3's and sublegal.

Beautiful day to be on the water even if it is the sagnasty.  fished from about 2:30 till dark.  Our best fish came surprizingly early, all around 3-3:30.  If I went 5 minutes without hooking a fish that was a long wait over the course of the day.

Make sure you bring plenty of shiners if your planning on being there a while.  We probably went through 5-6 dozen.  All fish were caught on 1/2 ounce jigs in typical colors-pink, chartreuse, etc.  We didn't use tails or grubs, just naked jigs with a shiner.  Make sure you bring stinger hooks as well.  I would say that 90% of the fish caught were taken by the stinger.  We fished in between Hooters and the Z-bridge a little down from "Hog Alley'.  But i'm sure people were catching fish everywhere.  Best depth to be in for us was 25-27 ft.

I'll probably go out one more time for some more fish, they were pretty good eatin tonight.  Drakes, peanut oil and a little Sam Adams.  On the side garlic mashed red skins with fresh parsley and homemade coleslaw, and my famous tartar suace with fresh dill,  oh and another sam adams of course, their ale, one of my favorites.
I am haunted by waters.
