After dropping in Wyandotte at 0800 and seeing that the river was calm, my wife and I made the run to St Clair which paid off.  I stopped around The Tower and started slinging a crankbait which brought the first nice 3# female bronzeback in after just a few casts, perfect.  We didn't find the rest of the pack with her so I roamed the area for a bit and found a nice gravel bed and marked some fish but no takers so I kept cruising.  I made a third "loop" and a second boat had come in to the area and when he passed over the pile the switch turned on!  Between the two boats we must have hit a dozen fish in just 20 mins, very nice indeed.  We left about 1115 to make the run back and meet friends but had a great time up there while it lasted...

Where you in a white and green Champ?...If so, I was the other boat (blu/wht/slvr Stratos).  They were definatly wadded up on that rock pile.  It was a great morning out there.

That was us, sir.  That was our first trip and up to St Clair in our new boat and first smallies and it was definitely worth the ride!  Seems like you guys had 2 doubles while I was retying for just a min at one point.

Hope you were still hitting 'em long after I left.  My wife isn't found of going thru downtown and for as rough as it was when we went thru, darn glad I beat the freightor cause that would've been bad...  See ya up there soon!
