I just read this in an article. Some economic moves by the big box possibly.

Some FLW anglers said privately that Wal-Mart is pulling out as a tour sponsor and that outdoor retailer Cabela's, based in Nebraska, will be the new sponsor.

I've heard some rumors similar to this in the past, but so far, they have always only been rumors. You never know. That would be a significant shift. As they say, you can always count on change continuing.

Heard this at the Lake Erie BFL event. Sounded like it was more than a rumor.

This has been a topic of conversation for about a year or so.  I think it would be a great move for Cabela's.  It would definitely bring them in direct competition with BASS and BPS.  I think it would be a good move for anglers too.
