I've been thinking about buying a few instructional fishing videos on the techniques that i'm lackin in! My question is, are they in depth enough to be worth the money? Does anyone have any favorites that helped them out a lot. Or are they just a waist of money.

I was looking at the KVD series and few others offered by bass pro.

McCarter

kvd pitchin to heavy hitters is awesome.  all his vids are good but that one is my fvorite.

kim strickers smallmouth neighborhood dvds are an absolute must.

i really like woo daves series from bps as well.

if you want to feel really bad about the size of fish you normally catch, try the big bait posse dvd

LipRip

I have three videos from Ax Tackle done by a West Coast fishing guide and TV personality. His name is Seth Burrill and I came across his drop shot video a couple of years ago. It is an excellent two hour DVD that shows you the basics plus a lot more. He also shows you a bunch of footage for multi species with the drop shot. He has two other instructional DVDs that are very good and regardless of your experience level you can learn something from these DVDs . I wouldnt mind giving those movies a shot.  But it sure is easier to go to youtube. JMO

I found a book from the 50's called "Bassin' in America" in the road.  Its a pretty cool book.  It covers fishing in all diferent type of waters. Rivers, Lakes, Ponds, Resivours.....   It mentions the fact that spinning reels just came out and were not the norm.  I hope to learn something from this book, kind of like going back to the basics. Most of the time I dont like books. But if its about bass fishing i'll read it.

I want to check out Bass Edge electronics 101 and deep fishing. Theres a guy on there from lowrance that shows you step by step how to set up your electronics so you can watch the fish eat your lure. Pretty amazing stuff. A lot of info on deep water vertical fishing. Might be good for great lakes smallmouth. Also if anyone has an ipod there are some great bass fishing podcasts for free in the itunes store. Just search BASS FISHING. That dvd is available at bass edge.com

I like watching Linder's Angling Edge.  You can watch episodes for free at myoutdoortv.com.  As for DVDs, pretty much any KVD series.  I also like a lot of the Classic Patterns series.

Does anyone know a good instruction video about sonar and electronics.  I was looking at the Doc Samson series.
