Dan,

This is just my opinion - But most forums that I use have the most current postings first so you don't have to scroll through everything. I don't know if the software you are using supports this but if it does what would be the possibility of changing this site ?

In your user info (upper left), there is an option to "show unread posts since you last visit".  I use this so I don't have to wade through all of the different forums.  I know it isn't exactly what you are asking for, but it is very handy for me to keep up with things on a timely matter.

Good alternate suggestion smbassman - thanks.

One of the important reasons I picked this forum software is for more flexibility for the individual members since everyone does have different tastes (and a little later this year, I will be gone fishing at times, I hope ;D).

I especially like to leave the post sort order to the individual's tastes. You can control this setting yourself in your profile.

Click on the Profile button at top.

On the left under Modify Profile, click the "Look and Layout Preferences" link.

Scroll down a short ways and check the "Show most recent posts at top" checkbox.

Click the "Change profile" button and as the Flying Wallenda's might say, "Voila!" Posts are now sorted in newest at the top to oldest at the bottom.

You have the power. You have the control. I just watch :).

Don't forget to check the Help button too. Many topics like this are explained under there. Not all, but many.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
