Fished Hoosier Pro Tournament Sunday and it SUCKED! I weighed in 2 keepers that weighed 2.75# Out of 34 boats that put me around 15th place. The winners somehow caught 11.68# including a 5.17 big bass. I don't know how they did it. While the winners had a respectable catch, 4th place only had #6, thus, less than #4 separated myself and the money, that tells me a lot of people struggled. I believe, only 2 limits were caught.

I caught all of my fish in the channels on different colored senkos and tubes. I caught about 20 fish; I caught too many to leave the channels. I kept thinking if I keep catching fish I will eventually get bit by a bigger fish. Obviously, I was wrong; I should have attacked the main lake. I caught several fish on beds. The fish were moving onto beds throughout the day; that also made me want to stay in the channel and wait for a big female to come up. They were tough to catch and they were all males. I congratulate the winners they deserve some respect. But I'm pretty upset about the whole outcome and can't wait to redeem myself next Sunday on Maxinkuckee.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Duke,
Dont be to hard on yourself about that tourny. At least you didnt get creamed. If there were 5 limits brought in you could be wondering what you did wrong, but it sounds like only 2 teams were on em and they are the ones who one. Maybe they just got lucky and found the right canal with the big female on the bed. Next week is a whole new story. Go out and get um.

DJ:

The tournament was on Manitou: Rochester, IN. Though I think I'd rather call it a toilet now.

Fishon:

You're very nice. I was upset Sunday with my performance, but I do feel confident for this upcoming weekend: we're fishing Maxinkuckee and I know that body of water pretty well. Manitou definetly didn't work out my way, but thats fishing. When it comes to competitive fishing I figure its best to be like a dandelion: cut me down and I'll pop right back up. Thank you for the kind words.
