Think I saw you in one of the photos on ESPN

Your either getting better or worse you never just stay the same

Right here!!!

LOL  you look more like a tourist than a marshall.

Dan

Just call me Mr. Dillon. Riding  with Shaw Grigsby tomorrow on Day 4, which is the big TV day. Rode with Kevin Wirth today. Locked out of Pickwick into Wilson with Skeet, Denny, Derek, and Mark Burgess. The lock raises you 100 ft.! It was fun just getting to do that. Got a lot of good spots to fish on Pickwick and Wilson now. We will be Marshalling at Guntersville next weekend. Hope they catch them like they did last year there.

Dan

There were only six Marshals for Sunday and I was  one of them. Drew Shaw Grigsby. Should be in some of the footage which airs May 9 on ESPN2 at 10:30 am

Very cool.....Looking forward to reading about it....

Dan, We were talking at the Club meeting this AM...How much does it cost to marshall and what are they handing out in the Marshall goody bags now.??? I heard rumors that there was a Mustang vest included in the goody bag...

Dan

No Mustang vest. I did get a Mustang vest when I rode as an observer in the BASS  Federation Nation Championship on Lake Toho a couple of years ago. They gave every observer whether you were there for one or more days a new Mustang. I am wearing mine still, and they are very comfortable and well worth having.
I took a picture of what they give you and have it on my Wednesday blog last week. They give you a long sleve Columbia shirt, and this year's shirt is way nicer than last years, a Marshal's hat, an ESPN heavy stainless steel mug, some Berkley soft plastic baits, and a $25 BPS gift card. I'm assuming that it's $25 it was last year. They didn't say when I got it this year. Maybe it's $500  :D
I'll be getting double of everything, because we are Marshalling Guntersville too. The $100 I spent registering is the best $100 I'll ever spend. I have some very good spots on Lakes Wilson and Pickwick from this trip.
Yesterday the late morning spot that Shaw fished  had 5 of the top 12 in it. Martens, Kennedy, Evers, Pace, and Grigsby were there. Much of the time you were in talking distance of at least one other competitor.
Shaw was a great boater and we had fun in the boat. I'll have a complete write up on each of my boaters when I get home or maybe yet this week.
The area near Pickwick and where we are staying got hammered yesterday with nasty weather. We are up early trying to figure out if Wheeler,  Wilson, or Pickwick are fishable today. We have today, tomorrow, and part of the day on Wednesday to fish.
Wednesday, we have to be in Guntersville to register. The forecast for next week looks very good.
