A buddy and I are looking to head down to St. Clair this sunday and fish the mile rds. Will a 14mph wind out of NW make this spot hard to fish? I have only been down there twice and am not really sure which winds are the best to fish this spot, other then no wind! What are the water temps running out there? Thanks for the info guys!

From the National Weather Service:

LCZ460-072000-
LAKE ST CLAIR-
940 AM EDT FRI MAY 7 2010

...GALE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM SATURDAY UNTIL MIDNIGHT SUNDAY...

If you're not familiar with the lake, by mighty careful!  Those that are familiar need to heed caution.  The Bay may not look like much to cross but it'll humble ya in a heartbeat...

The Mile Roads are "on".  Temps were 51ish last Thursday.  I was in stained water for my best fish, not clear, not muddy, stained.

Better news as this afternoon:

...GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM SATURDAY UNTIL 8 PM SATURDAY...

If it gets to rough you can alway hit Anchor Bay (Selfridge launch)
If that is still to rough the canals are a blast for LM...

Got Fish??

You must respect big water! If your not familiar with the lake, go somewere else that day and come back when the lake sits down.

Well I didn't make it down sunday morning. I ended up just tinkering around with the boat. Did anyone get out? I wish I would have taken today off it looks like it would be a great day to be down there. I brought it to work with and will probably just hit up Ponemah in Fenton. Thanks for the info guys.

I was out on the mile roads and you did miss out the fish were biting and it was a ton of fun.

I was out Monday in Anchor Bay and the weather was superb. At one point in the evening, you could just sit in the boat and hear people talking  a half mile away.  The fish were biting and I was glad to be alive and on Lake St. Clair.
