Does Gulp go bad after a while? I know some bottled scents spoil after a while. I was wondering about the gulp because the juice in some of my older bags of gulp is brown now and was thinking I should just throw them away and get some new stuf next year.

Buckeye

I'm not really sure, but I know the new recharge cans are supposed to be the best Gulp! ever.  I usually just go ahead and store my used products in them, instead of the bags now.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I think the new recharge kits (lizards, minnows, and leeches) smell just like any other Gulp! product.  I wouldn't say it smells any different, but they claim that it will "recharge" the baits if they been out of the package.  I also carry the crawfish spray.

Got Fish??

How old is old? My bate never last that long! Before I run out of bate.

MBell

I always heard powerbait only has a shelf life of 1 year, but I don't buy it.  I put my bagged gulp into the gulp alive cans.  As long as you have enough juice in the cans they will last a year or two.  The gulp alive scent is no different from what I'm told, but the baits are able to absorb 20% more scent.  My complaint with gulp alive is you pay $20 for a bucket and 10-15% of the baits are kinked up.

Anyone actually notice a difference (OR NOT) on whether the DS leeches / minnows / gobies catch better out of the (red) bag or out of the (green) recharge buckets.

I seemed to whack em last year out of the bags and this year not much. Probably more of a symptom of the lousy river year ? Anyone else ?
Thanks Dan for bringing year round Catch and Release to Michigan

Asked Berkley about this and the reply I got from them was that it has a shelf life of 2 to 3 years. Since it is biodegradable, it will start to degrade and fall apart.

2 seasons ago I had a problem with the gulp juice getting cloudy and "moldy".  I don't know what it was, or how it got there but I had a chunky slime form in the can by the end of the season.  I have not had that problem since, and I now store my red bag gulp in the green cans.
