went to ceader island lake for 4 hours today.  probably the best day of fishing all year.  the lake is in white lake township,  small ramp with parking for 4 trucks.  lake is deep and clear with nice weeds and drops.  spent all day fishing docks with a jig.  caught over 30 bass with a lot in the 2-3 lb range. Even caught a couple nice smallies. a lot of them I could see picking the jig up.    the only other boats on the lake were people heading to the launch to take there boats out.   If you want to fish a fun lake that has not been pounded by tournys all year check it out.

I've been there a couple times and never did well. Now I'll have to go back since there ARE fish in the lake!

won't hurt it a bit.  with only parking for 4 trailers it keeps people away.  don't think i have ever heard of a tourny there.   I fish it once a year in the fall.

Are there fish in Kent lake???   I thought there were only Mccarters there.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

There were at least 10 largemouth on Kent Sunday! And no Pike! :D

yeah, i remember the good old days on kent lake when 4-5 lb fish and bags in the 16-20 lb range were fairly common.  oh wait, they still are.  so much for fishing pressure.

I know I was confused a little. Though I haven't been out there this year... yet. The MDNRE always said that Kent is the 2nd hardest fished inland lake in Michigan only to Houghton Lake.

The fish are still there, just not as dumb as they used to be.
