So i was working a jerkbait on portage lake in pinckney yesterday and caught a fish that I believe to be a musky. Unfortunately, i didn't snap a pic. I was unaware that there were musky in that chain of lakes. I asked a few people who fish the lake often and they said they've never heard of musky being in there. So my question to whomever is............is there supposed to be musky in there!!!???

I thought it might be a pickerel but the tips of all of the fins were orangish red like a musky.

I figure Ralph would know. chime in FOB!

MadWags

Were the fins rounded or pointed at the tips?

What's with the news these days on the TV and the radio. Can't find the truth amongst the lies. Some talking head that claims to live their life in a better way, says I have to compromise. But now there's something on the rise. Truth has opened up my eyes. There's no running from your dirty lies. You can't avoid the truth. I'll no longer close my eyes.

LipRip

I know the tail was pointed, not sure about the rest of the fins. I'm almost positive it was a musky in the spotted pattern.

FOB

Have not heard of any caught here.  Does not mean they aren't in here.  Could have come downriver.  Wish you could have taken a pic.  I did hear of a musky being caught in the Halfmoon chain couple of years back, and that does flow into Little Portage.

Yea just never know.

Guess I'm gonna have to go back to where I caught it and try for it again!

I'll take a pic this time if i get him!

MadWags

Most likely a Musky if the fins were pointed.
Hee is a comparison.

I hope that's the only one in there!

LipRip

we're gonna have to carry our billy clubs for those pesky pike that enjoy stealing 15$ jerkbaits!!!!!!!
